Reviewing the year

End of year review time!  It’s that time of year, where we start looking at where we’re at, where we came from and perhaps where we’re headed for the next year – reviewing the year.

I’ve said it before, I like change, and for me the past few years has been a complete whirlwind of it!  I do like change, not for changes sake, but for better, for more, for good.

Since I started this blog, and my business – so much has changed for me, and I could never have foreseen where I would be today when I wrote my first post in 2015.

I can tell you though, I’m not much of a planner.  I do generally act on intuition and my feelings – if something doesn’t feel right then it’s not, review it, change it, adapt to the change and test out the feelings again.

For some of you, this might not seem like a good strategy!  But for me, it does seem to be working out.

I do like to look back at where I’ve come from, and see the progress, the journey, and think about what might be next…

How to review:

What has happened for you over this last year?  Have you moved house?  Did you leave you job for a new one, or to start a business?  Did you end a relationship that wasn’t working?  Or did you have a baby?  What has been major for you this year?

What was difficult, and what did you learn from this?

Advice: take the time to identify the learning when things haven’t gone well, at least then you can take something about the experience and make use of it in the future.

What went really brilliantly, what can you be truly grateful for?  What are you really proud of yourself for?

If you had to score the last year on a scale of 1 – 10 (10 being happiest), where are you at with each part of your life?  If you’re not at a 10 in each area, what can you do next year to improve this?

Perhaps none of these things happened for you?  Perhaps you feel like you are majorly sitting back and letting life happen – is this okay for you?  Maybe it is, maybe you’re at 10 in all areas?  Or – does something major need to happen for you next year?

What are you planning?  What possibilities are there for you?  Perhaps the wheels are already in motion…

I would love to hear from you as to how your year’s gone, and what you’re planning for the next, so post a comment below, or get in touch through social media or my contact form

What could be better?

Know anyone who would appreciate reading this?  Why not show them how much you care by sending it their way?
