My coach gave me a gift this week – time!
How lucky am I? This is the gift that everyone wants more of right?
I don’t know about you but I am always thinking about how short of time I am and complaining internally about all the things that I’m not able to do because of this lack in my life.
“If only there was more time, I could meditate, do pilates, go for a run, write a blog… “
So, we talked about this, my Coach & I. And it transpired that much of my time was occupied with checking Facebook & watching television. Hmm, this was not my greatest admission. Someone said to me once how weird they found the notion of checking Facebook, comparing it to ‘going to the front door a number of times throughout the day just to check if there’s anyone there’! How we laughed at this, my Coach & I!
So I deleted the app from my phone, and committed to only going to look at Facebook when I have reason to, i.e. Publishing this post, responding to messages from people, checking in with groups that I’m in. No more videos of other people’s cats, hipsters food or other spurious content! So for the last 3 days I have been on Facebook for about 20 minutes, once a day – shocking I know! I’m no worse off for it I can tell you!
I have meditated daily. I have felt calmer. I have spoken to people on the phone, by email or actually met people, you know – in real life, face to face!
A very enjoyable few days!
of course Twitter, Instagram, whatsapp, LinkedIn are all still available ?
